What can we learn from IMEC ITF World that was held May 21-22?

IESA is India’s premier industry body for ESDM & Intelligent Electronics with main objective to establish India as a leading global hub for electronics manufacturing and design.
The global reality includes geopolitical tensions, dynamic markets, and climate change. These challenges create a complex situation for the “Chips Act” that now grows around the world. These are about reinforcing the local semiconductor ecosystem to have resilience of supply chains and reduce external dependencies and keep technology development.
The ITF (imec Technology Forum) event coincided with imec’s 40th anniversary and centered around the theme of semiconductors and deep-tech solutions for tackling global challenges. The event was presided by IESA – Europe Chapter lead, Sanjeev Sharma. He will share his view of discussions which focused on how advancements in chip technology can drive innovation in areas like health, pharma, automotive, and artificial intelligence, while considering the industry’s environmental impact and the path towards achieving carbon net zero. The view of Sanjeev Sharma will be followed by a discussion on how we can support the global semiconductor change by collaborations and ideas.
